A California man deals with decades behind bars for his monthslong rampage that consisted of murdering a target by stabbing him in the brain, punching a octogenarian, damaging his jaw, and luring girls to a motel where he engaged in unlawful sexual activities.
Jacob Saldivar, now 23, on Monday pleaded guilty to 12 felonies, including murder , burglary, sodomy and domestic break-in, according to the Ventura Area District Attorney” s Office Saldivar was 16 going on 17 when he dedicated the multitude of criminal offenses between April and June of 2019
He confessed to murdering 34 -year-old Charles Barber on June 24, 2019, in the parking lot of an apartment building in Oxnard– some 60 miles west of Los Angeles– when he blew up and attacked the victim with a knife.

“Barber collapsed inside the complex and consequently passed away from numerous stab wounds, including one that penetrated his brain,” district attorneys stated.
Prior to and after the murder, Saldivar executed numerous robberies , attacks and thefts. He targeted a number of teenagers who were walking home from college or the store and took their phones, cash money and precious jewelry. Saldivar assaulted some of the teens, sending them to the medical facility.
Saldivar also preyed on senior victims. Just hours after Barber’s slaying, he burglarized a 75 -year-old male in a Home Depot car park, snatching several of the victim’s necklaces, one of which had the wedding celebration ring of his dead spouse. Roughly two weeks prior to the murder, he knocked out an 82 -year-old guy, breaking his jaw and leaving the victim with “long lasting memory concerns.”
The man also enticed two young girls to a motel on June 27, 2019, and provided one of them a Xanax prior to engaging in “illegal sex acts,” according to prosecutors. Later that day, Saldivar posed for selfies with a gun and battered on a motel door, which brought about his arrest, bringing his reign of terror to an end.
Regardless of being a small at the time of the crimes, district attorneys attempted Saldivar as an adult. He deals with in between 33 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Oct. 7 [
